PhotoFusion, photochromic avant guarde lenses - Comments (0)

ZEISS PhotoFusion lenses, are the authomatic darkening lenses that rapidly react to variations of brightness. Discover why choose photochromic lenses PhotoFusion:

  • Fast reaction – for more comfort: PhotoFusion lenses rapidly adapt themselves to variations of brightness . lenses with high or medium index get darker up to 20% more rapidly and get brightened the double more rapidly than the traditional photochromic lenses  ZEISS.
  •   100% UV protection– for an optimal protection : PhotoFusion lenses offer a  100% protection against UV rays- up to 400 nm.
  • Excellent color uniformity – for a natural vision :PhotoFusion lenses with authomatic darkening to high and medium index show an excellent color consistency

Fast reaction to solar UV rays

the secret of PhotoFusion lenses with authomatic darkening to high and medium index are the photoactive molecules that respostd more effectively to the birght energy getting darker up to 20% more rapidly than the traditional photochromic lenses ZEISS and getting brightened up to 2 times more rapidly. Solar UV rays activate the process of authomatic darkening : he more the solar radiation is intense, the more will be the darkening of lenses , made by photoactive molecules. If lenses are not exposed to intense solar rays, molecules remain compact. When exposed to Uv solar rays, the molecules open widely and react the maximum level of darkening.

How to take off contact lenses - Comments (5)

Don't you know how to easily take them off? A few and useful expedients are enough to understand how to take off contact lenses.

Imagine to see after 25 years - Comments (0)

It happened in USA, to receive the gift of "artificial sight" there was a mother from Colorado, who, for the first time, started to see again after 25 years.

Born with retinitis pigmentosa, Jamie Carley, for over than two decades lived without sight. A degenerative desease, the retinitis brings the cell of retina to a slow death. But, due to a new bionic eye, the Colorado mother recently received the gift of sight.

It's hard to imagine what does it mean, among the dark...only a glimmer ...to see a son after so many years. An emotion that we cannot even imagine!

Carley received the retinic plant Argus II (we discussed about it some time ago : Robotic prothesis and sight), a microchip that works through a pair of glasses endowed with a camera, that send impulses to some electrodes implanted behind retina, that can stimulate the optical nerve. This is the aim of UC Health Eye Center: to redevelop "small quantities" of the sight.

Thanks to the plant, Carley can perceive the light, dark and outile of objects. It is inconceivable of not understanding the surprise of seeing the shadow of a car passing. But, maybe, the most amazing thing she saw until now, it's his child's silhouette. She lost completely the sight since she was 26 years old, when his son ( now he's thirty ) was 3 .

UC Health Eye Center is hopeful and certain that, within next months, day by day, Carley's brain will learn to interpret the optical signs and her sight will be in continuos upgrade.

Those are the stories taht we liek to listen to, of how, with technological advance, we will solve problems through solutions unkonown until now. A lto has been made and a lot more is waiting for us, but the direction is correct .

One day we will know how to cure or to redevelop the damages made by degenerative deseases, just as retinitis pigmentosa.
